November 29, 2023
On November 28, 2023, the student conference “Gateway to the world of Science” was held at the AIU for the second time, where 2-4-year students of the departments of psychology, pedagogy and linguistics took part. The Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Ph.D. Nurlan Ismailov made a welcoming speech, who shared the scientific successes of the faculty students and urged them to actively engage in research.
Students within the subjects “Senior Thesis”, “Thesis”, “Fundamentals of Science Research” conducted a scientific study for two months. In their work, students independently worked out the problem and hypothesis, determined the methodology, and studied the sources. Based on the data obtained, tables, graphs, diagrams were compiled, and applied recommendations were developed. The conference participants actively introduced such methods as interviews, surveys, content analysis, and grounded theory into their tools.
The participants heard 20 reports on topical issues of pedagogy, psychology, and media analysis. The participants were keenly interested in such reports as “The reasons for educational migration among students in India and Pakistan” (by Sarmambetova Aidana and Kutubekova Albina), “Problems of mathematical education in the Kyrgyz Republic” (by Ulugbek kyzy Rumeisa and Akhmatzhanova Khadicha), as well as “The problem of the relationship of artistic tastes of modern teenagers with fashion trends in literature” (by Musa Alfiya and Makambayeva Sezimai).
Following the results of the conference, a collection of articles will be published in the near future, and the best scientific work will be published in the university scientific journal “Alatoo Academic Studies”.
